Research has taken place in partnership with Humboldt University Berlin and other institutions investigating the effectiveness of citizen participation using constituency days. Citizens would spend a day discussing political topics alongside their constituency MPs. They were able to prove that constituency days increase trust levels in politics and that participation reduces susceptibility to conspiracy theories. Overall, the research proved that dialogue-based citizens participation is an efficient tool to strengthen democratic engagement.
