MPs from the Home Affairs Select Committee held Citizens’ Assemblies in three locations with a focus on work-based immigration in the UK.
Randomly selected members of public across the political spectrum engaged in the deliberative exercise on citizen’s democracy and Channel 4 was given access to a discussion held in Leicester where constructive conversations were had which dispelled myths and created a safe space for fact finding.
Those involved came to a solution of putting the needs of British workers first while ensuring that migrants are treated with dignity and respect. Watch the full clip here.
